Clutch: Mini Clutch
Question: Can the 2 disc mini dry be converted to springless using the wavy washers and shims?
Answer:
John,
No. The floater drives off the spring cups.

Clutch: Wet Clutch
Question: What is better? a wet clutch or centrifugal for racing our go-kart? Not in competition just for fun? And what is the best ratio?
Answer:
Paul,

I am not sure what you mean by a centrifugal. We make both a wet and a dry clutch. The dry requires more maintenance than the wet because of the heat. The wet will last longer between rebuilds. Gear ratio depends on the track. You should run the ratio that gets you the motor RPM that you are looking for.

Clutch: Wet Clutch
Question: What would be the advantage between a 2 disk 6 spring clutch or a 3 disk 6 spring clutch? Yamaha heavy 390 pounds.
Answer:
Clarence,
The 3 disc is a much more durable clutch for the weight your running. It also holds up better when engagement is higher.
Thanks,
Jeff

Clutch: Wet Clutch
Question: What is the spacer next to my 11 tooth gear actually for? L&T 3 disc wet clutch, Yamaha KT-100.
Answer:
Russell,
The Yamaha crank has a radius on it and spacer has a radius on one side and is straight on other. The drum will bind up on that radius without the spacer. Install spacer radius to radius.

Clutch: Mini Clutch
Question: My son runs Jr Sportsman with a Yamaha Can and we have your dry clutch. I bought the kart complete and am learning how to tune. The clutch seems to be slipping off the corners. How do I tighten it up? Thanks, Herb
Answer:
Herb,
To lower stall speed you turn screws clockwise. Approx. 250 rpm per quarter turn. If that doesnt fix problem clutch may need to be rebuilt and ground true. We offer rebuilding of clutches here.
Thanks,
Jeff

Question: Hi
Iam going to run yamaha heavy 390 lbs,DD-y-pipe
3 disc wet cluch best spring 4 or 6 ?
Thanks.
Ray

Answer:
Ray,
Not sure what DD-y- pipe is. They both should work fine. Usually just a preference. 4 spring is lighter. 6 spring distributes force more evenly around but is heavier. Would probably reccomend 6 spring for your weight.
Thanks,
Jeff
